DWBS Scholarship-Now Closed
The University of Kentucky has dedicated scholarships for Distillation, Wine and Brewing Studies (DWBS) students available.
The application for the 2023-24 academic year is now closed. The Hank and Kathy Thompson Scholarship is awarded annually to one or two students in the Distillation, Wine and Brewing Studies Certificate program.

The Diversity in Kentucky Distilling Scholarship - Application is closed
The Diversity in Kentucky Distilling Scholarship was established by Castle & Key Distilling in partnership with the Kentucky Black Bourbon Guild to support scholarships for students of color who have interest in working in the distilling field in Kentucky. The scholarship provides a $5,000 award that is renewable for one additional year of study. Applicants must be full-time residents of Kentucky who are enrolled as full-time undergraduate or graduate students at the University of Kentucky, Kentucky State University, University of Louisville, or Western Kentucky University with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75. Applicants must major in Agriculture, Science, Engineering, Hospitality or Marketing and be currently enrolled or plan to enroll in a distilling certificate program at the school where they attend.
Bourbon on the Banks- Application Closed 4/1/23
The Bourbon on the Banks Board set aside $15,000 for scholarships related to college level fermentation & distillation programs. Residents of Franklin County, Kentucky are eligible for scholarships up to $2,500 to take college level course work in fermentation and distillation related classes.
